The story behind the Golden Eclipse Tarot
The seed of the Golden Eclipse Tarot was first planted at the turn of the century, in October 2000, and refined for the past twenty years. It wasn't until 2018, after Marie Satori connected with Carmen Seijas, that the channeled vision was grounded into a tangible, illustrative form. The system and symbolism of this tarot deck are designed to be translated by both beginners and professionals; whether in solo introspection, in professional service, or in rituals.
On January 31, 2018, the first total lunar eclipse in more than two years occurred, the previous one being September 27-28, 2015. On this lunar eclipse, the drawings that would become the illustrations in the Golden Eclipse tarot were commenced. The illustration process took place from 2018-2021. The project originally began as a major arcana deck, just as the world began to turn inward with the onset of the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020. Each day we sat down, another image manifested. The project eventually expanded to an 85-card system to support those seeking guidance. The Golden Eclipse image draw inspiration from astrology, tarot, and the spiritual journey that connects and awakens seekers to the mysteries of life.
Friends, clients, and strangers were confiding in me that the world-wide quarantine had shaken them into states of spiritual crisis. They felt disconnected, displaced, and lost. They sought answers. "What am I doing with my life? What will happen next?" We all wondered questions like these as the world broke out into revolution and crisis. The world sought answers through the mystical — metaphysics, yoga, kundalini, astrology, tarot, and meditation — in their efforts to feel connected. The beauty of the tarot is that it empowers one to question, seek, and self-heal. I am honored to share with you this magickal tool and system which has been designed for you to question reality, seek intuitive development, and progress along your spiritual journey.
Just like The Fool in the major arcana, "Your spiritual journey begins with a single step and a leap of faith."
